How long will it take?

Anything from 10 minutes to 30 minutes, depending on how difficult the car is to remove, some are on the main rd and some could be up an entry in the rear garage.

Do I need to be in when you arrive?

No, if you do not wish to be in, when we contact you to confirm your booking just tell us and we will discuss where to leave the keys and documents, any cash / cheques will be posted through your letter box along with a part of a log book signed and filled out by ourselves.

What do I do with the log book/v5 registration document?

All you have to do is sign a part of the log book after we have filled our company details in and send it of to DVLA (the address is on the back) when we arrive you can ask any of our driver’s questions regarding the v5 document and they will help you.

I do not have a logbook/V5 document?

If you do not have the log book you will need to fill in a vehicle surrender form, we will also give you a letter confirming we have taken the vehicle.

Do you inform the DVLA?

When your scrap/elv vehicle is scraped it is taken to an “authorised treatment facility” (ATF) with the log book / surrender form, it is then de registered with the DVLA and recycled.

Do I have to inform the DVLA?

The only thing you should have to do is sorn you vehicle if you haven’t done already and send of the piece of log book to the dvla that our driver will have filled out when collecting your car.

How do I sorn my car?

You can sorn your car when you send your tax back, online, phone or post office, if you are still unsure, ask one of our drivers who will be more than happy to help you.

How do I receive my money for my car?

You will be paid by cash on collection, if you have chosen not to be in on the day of collecting then the cash along with part of the signed log book will be posted through your letter box.

What is a waste carriers license?

A waste carriers license is a license from the Environmental Agency that anyone carrying waste i.e. scrap metal, land waste etc. will need by law, all of our agents who work for us are checked to make sure they have a valid and up to date license.

I have lost the keys?

No problem, our drivers are trained and have a lot of experience, this is something we come across on most days and will not be a problem.

What is an ELV?

ElV stands for ‘end of life vehicle’ which is a vehicle that has come to the end of its life.

What do I do with previous history for the car?

Any previous history can be left in the glove box or kept with the V5.
